One Direction is a very well known boy band. The band started out on X-factor no one knew who they are until one big change made them very well known they ended up on top 5. They got 3rd place in x-factor uk in 2011 which was just the begining. Now they're number one on the charts in the U.K. and in the U.S.A. for their single charts. They have had so many interviews with Ellen Degeneres, Jimmy Fallon and Alan Car. One Direction have sold over 1 billion cds from their first album. Sold 5 tours in the states in less then 25 seconds for a concert. Which was one was in New york, Miami, Chicago, Detroit and California.

5 seconds of summer

This boy band was formed in Sydney, Australia in 2011. The band has 4 members Luke Hemmings his part of the band is the lead vocals and guitar. Ashton Irwin he sings and plays drums. Michael Clifford sings and plays guitars and Calum Hood sings and plays the bass guitar. How they became famous is by One Direction inviting them on their Take Me Home tour in 2012 which was One Direction's 2nd album released and their third one Midnight Memories. This year in 2015 they're starting their own world tour. Which means they're not going to be with One Direction for their 4th album called FOUR. 5 Seconds of Summer began in December 2011 when Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford and Calum Hood, who all attended Norwest Christian College, started posting videos of themselves performing covers of popular songs together on Hemmings YouTube channel. Hemmings first video, a cover of Mike Posner's "Please Don't Go", was posted on 3 February 2011.Their cover of Chris Brown's "Next to You" received over 600,000 hits.  

Why I chose this topic

I chose these two bands because they both can relate they have so many things in common like singing they're both in boy bands. The only difference between them two is One Direction is a british-irish band and 5 Seconds Of Summer is Australian. Second of all, I was always a fan of bands. As you may all know I am a fan of One Direction I really like that band and also I have a obsession with another new boy band.

One Direction

One Direction is a british-irish boyband formed by Simon Cowell on x-factor. One Direction started out with a different boy band name then changed it to One Direction. One Direction was formed july 23 2010 at 8:22 pm on a friday night. They got 3rd place on x-factor finals with the help of Simon Cowell. One Direction.  They failed  the "Boys" category at "judges' houses" but were put together to form a five-piece boy band in London, England, in July 2010, during the "bootcamp" stage of the competition,  the "Groups" category. Nicole Scherzinger, a guest judge,and Simon Cowell have both claimed to have come up with the idea of forming a boy band. Simon Cowell took 10 minutes to put them together as a band.The band had many fans there supporting them. One Direction ended up rehearsing and having many fans for the support. Once they became popular and started making Music.
